With lots of color and a very youthful touch so it was their proposal for this autumn-winter. I loved the details and prints of eyes, they were my favorites as well as the knitted fabric which was in collaboration with Carlota de la Vega, matching it with denim and one of the strongest trends, patches, making every garment something super versatile and urban. From dresses to overalls and ponchos make this brand something easy to wear every day showing your style in a very trendy way.
Áspid, is the name of the new collection of this young designer who was inspired by the bipolarity uniting the opposite aspects of a woman, her feminine and romantic side with their strong and rebellious side. We saw the use of very soft fabrics and transparencies in contrast with fur and details in metals as is already his characteristic, the color palette was from black to pink pastel and white in very feminine silhouettes dating us back to the 50’s with a contemporary vision.
Inspired in the Bauhaus, in the Triadic Ballet of Oskar Schlemmer specifically, Vanessa Guckel (architect by profession ) presented her new collection. We saw capes, wide sleeves, turtlenecks and asymmetric geometry elements with straight lines that are characteristic of the brand and all in white and black with small accents of red. On this occasion she collaborated with Paul Kobayashi another great architect with whom they made three dresses that opened the runway made of the main building materials, wood, concrete and metal; this in order to inspire other fashion designers to unite fashion with other design disciplines.
As his first time on this fashion platform is presented this designer graduate from Central Saint Martins and finalist in the new edition of Who’s on next by Vogue. Inspired by the universe of the artist Mike Kelley presents a collection called “At the boundary between peace and childhood”, which was a sophisticated approach with playful touches on bags and shoes that were made with fur and stuffed animals as part of the tribute to this artist. With carefully selected textiles from knitted fabrics to silk chiffon, this time he collaborated with Linton Tweeds LTD (manufacturer of various fabrics used by Chanel) . The silhouettes were straight and slightly oversized with some asymmetries giving vitality to clothing that we use every day in a palette of navy blue, white, ivory and pearl gray mainly.
Brand created by the fashion designer, Francisco Saldaña and visual communicator and artist, Victor Hernal. It is characterized by its collections and experimental garments for men and women, becoming a benchmark of contemporary fashion in Mexico since 2006. This season presented a collection in oversized clothes with a touch of mystery and performance as usual in the brand, called “I put a spell on you”. The color palette was sober filling it with life with details and garments completely red. We also saw some tribal details referring to the witches of ethnic tribes. A big experience as always.
